Bethany Crystal is a former fractional executive, strategist, and community builder with 15 years of experience in tech, venture capital, and workforce development. She partners with web3, AI, and workforce startups to launch community initiatives, go-to-market strategies, and strategic programs. She's currently building MuseKat, and AI-powered learning tool to help parents and their kids enjoy museums & art through customized audio storytelling.
Previously, Bethany started her tech career working at Stack Overflow and later spent five years overseeing the portfolio network of companies at Union Square Ventures. She first got inspired to work fractionally after working at Bolster, the fractional marketplace for executive talent. Since then, she's professionally paratrooped into a dozen different roles, from VCs to web3 startups to nonprofit foundations.
She has spearheaded major workforce initiatives for NYC Public Schools in partnership with Tech:NYC and most recently served as the interim program director for Decoded Futures, an AI capacity-building initiative for nonprofits. Bethany serves on the board of Comp Sci High and Hiro. A Northwestern alumna, she lives in NYC with her husband and two children.
